“Martin Nievera: Live Again” concert last June 25 at the Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque raised P3.7 million for the Rotary Club of Makati West’s Gift of Life program, which provides free heart operations for poor children.
During the turnover of the check, Solaire President & COO Thomas Arasi noted that the fund-raiser was in line with Solaire’s goal to put “the Filipino first” in its corporate giving projects. “We are indebted to Martin for his selfless service and act of giving back to the community.”
Martin Nievera’s concert also marked the reopening of the Theatre at Solaire after two years of being closed due to the global pandemic.
On Show Night, Martin opened his concert with feel-good songs to set the mood. He was in his best element and welcomed by screaming fans. He sang his bestselling classics like ‘Be My Lady,’ ‘Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin,’ and ‘You Are My Song,’ among others.
The show’s highlight was when Martin sang “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” together with kids from RCMW’s Gift of Life program. He said, “Sa bawat ticket na nabili n’yo, nakatulong pa kayo.”
“It’s very closed to my heart. I really made sure I was here for this. It was really just a man trying to make a difference with the Rotary Club with the same vision to do something. In fact, while waiting for the show, they saved other 7 kids.”
Martin ended, “Because of my live show, we’re able to give life. These kids can live again.”
