Jamie Rivera, Joel Cruz lead fundraising concert ‘Maria Bukod Kang Pinagpala’

Maraming nagsasabi na may hawig si Seth Fedelin kay Daniel Padilla. At dahil doon, kaya ginagawa raw nito ang kilos at porma ng  boyfriend ni Kathryn Bernardo.

Sa interview ni Ogie Diaz kay Seth sa kanyang vlog, ay nagbigay ng reaksyon dito si Seth. 

Sabi niya, ganoon lang daw talaga siyang pumorma at okey naman daw ‘yun sa management ng ABS-CBN, na parehong kuwardra nila ni Daniel.

Aniya, “Sabi naman sa akin ng management, ‘Seth maintain mo ‘yan, maintain mo ‘yang pang-masa (look) mo. Ang inaano ko po kasi ay gusto kong maka-relate sa akin ang tao, mga bata na kahit ito lang suot ko, okay ‘yan.

“Bakit ako magsusuot ng mamahaling sapatos, e, ayaw ko nga ng ganu’n? Isang beses mo lang masusuot tapos wala na hindi na puwedeng ulitin. Tapos ang mahal-mahal pati ‘yun nakikita nila pati buhok, kabuhok ko raw si kuya DJ. Anong gusto ninyo, magpakalbo ako?”

Sabi naman ni Ogie, “Para lang mapalayo (ang itsura)?”

“Opo. Ako po sa lahat ng mall show iniiwasan ko pong kumanta ng kanta ni kuya DJ. Sinasadya ko po para hindi ako (maikumpara) lalo na pati boses daw,” ani Seth sabay binago ang pitch ng boses, “Paano kung ito talaga ‘yung totoo kong boses hindi ko ginagaya (sabay tawa ni Ogie).”

Dagdag pa niya, “Minsan gusto ko na po silang sagutin na hindi ko sila ginagaya, minsan pag nasa loob ako ng bahay, kapag nagba-vlog ako, eto ako. Pag kausap ako ng mga tao, eto ako hindi ko ginagaya.

“Actually nga po pag nakita ninyo si kuya DJ at tumayo sa harapan n’yo, napaka-manly niya po tingnan at ako po ay hindi ganu’n. Pag tumayo ako sa inyo para akong totoy, promise po ‘yan. Kapag nagsalita at nakipagkulitan ako mukha akong totoy, mukha akong lumaki sa kanal.”

Sa tanong ni Ogie kung nasasaktan si Seth sa mga komentong naririnig ay hindi naman daw, “Hindi ako nahe-hurt, naiinis! Hindi ako nasa-sad pero naiinis kasi ang dami nilang sinasabi. Kasalanan ko po ba kung ano ang nakikita ninyo sa akin? Maraming salamat po sa mga nakaka-appreciate.

“Minsan napapaisip ako kapag may nagsasabing ‘kamukha mo si (DJ).’ Good ba ito o bad (compliment)?” sabi pa ng aktor.

”Maria Bukod Kang Pinagpala,” A Tribute and Thanksgiving Fundraising Concert at the Metropolitan Theater for the Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Parish Church The Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Parish Church along Calamba Street in Sampaloc under the Archdiocese of Manila, will be having a fundraising concert entitled “Maria Bukod Kang Pinagpala” to complete the church renovation project before the year-end of 2022.

The concert is slated to coincide with the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 8th of September, Thursday, at the newly renovated Manila Metropolitan Theater.

The NSPS Calamba Parish Church, commonly called by parishioners, has undergone a major renovation to accommodate the growing community.

This major project is under the leadership of Fr. Jerome Secillano, parish priest and Executive Secretary for the CBCP-Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines. 

With the challenges and setbacks brought about by the pandemic, it is finally coming into completion.

The performances will showcase the collaborative efforts of different choirs from different parishes namely Voice Spectrum, Jamie Rivera, Kidz At Work, Rannie and Lance Raymundo, Alex “Elvis” Torres, Jerrick Rotap, NSPS Choir, Theotokos Choir, CWL Junior/Coro Sagrada Familia Choirs, DPWH Region 4B/SMDEO Chorales, Philippine Orthopedic  Center Chorale, Kath Sazon, Jacqueline Marzan-Tolentino, and Ahwel Paz of ABS-CBN DZMM Teleradyo and TFC will host the program.

It will be a showcase of cantatas dedicated to Mother Mary in a variety show format to serenade the parishioners, sponsors, and the community of the parish directed by Jojie Juanerio in collaboration with musical directors Greg Madera and Martin Arellano.

The event will be multiple celebrations which will also be a tribute and farewell to Fr. Jerome for his 16 years of tenure with the parish. 

The presenter during the tribute is another parishioner Joel Cruz of Aficionado and Takoyatea by Joel Cruz whose businesses started in the Sampaloc neighborhood where the church is located.

The venue itself is another showcase, with the renovation done under the National Commission for Culture and Arts.

Attendees may marvel at the art deco design of the theater as a walk down history. The show is produced by Ms. Rosalinda Keyser.

Proceeds will go to the ongoing renovation of the NSPS Church. Ticket prices at P1,000 or lower orchestra, P750 for upper orchestra, and P500 for balcony.
