In a YouTube video, Star Cinema officially released its story conference for upcoming Vice Ganda, Ivana Alawi, and Cathy Garcia-Molina movie.
Titled “Partners in Crime,” director Cathy is more than excited and happy that finally she’s working with Vice. Without hesitation, she named Vice as the “Queen Of MMFF.”
Vice reacted, “Hindi s’ya pressure for me. Excited talaga ako to be Cathy-fied. Kahit nung unang tagpuan namin, ang unang tanong nila sa akin, ‘What do you expect?.’ I will willingly embrace my Cathy-fication. The Cathy-fication of Vice Ganda this Christmas, ‘yung ganun.”
The Phenomenal Box Office Star added, “Hindi ko rin naman alam kung hanggan kailan ako gagawa ng pelikula. Kaya bago pa mahuli ang lahat, ma-experience na namin ni Ivana si direk Cathy.”
One of the box office hit record holders, Vice said this year is the right year for him to star in a movie again after two years.
“Punung-puno ako ng excitement. Masaya lang ako. Masaya lang ako na gagawin ito. Buong-buo ‘yung loob ko, ‘yung puso ko na gagawin ko ‘to. Handa ako. Actually, nag-aabang na ako ng araw na magsisimula na kami. Hinahanap na rin kasi ng katawan at sistema ko.”
There’s no doubt how Vice captures moviegoers every Christmas and changes the cinema game. Vice shared, “Dati ang assignment ko ay pasayahin ang mga pamilya tuwing pasko. Ngayon, ang assignment ko naman ay pabalikin sila sa sinehan ngayong pasko.”
The Unkabogable Star continued, “Nakakatuwa rin naman na hinahanap nila ako. Nababasa ko. Naririnig ko. Sinasabi nila sa akin. Kahit ‘yung malls, ‘yung mall owners, nakakausap ko sila, sinasabi nila na hinahanap nung mga pamilya ‘yung pelikula ko. Kaya they are all looking forward na gumawa ako ng pelikula. Kahit ‘yung mga mall owner, sinasabi na, ‘Sana gumawa ka na. Ibibigay namin ang suporta namin.’”
Known for his hit films “Petrang Kabayo,” “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” “Sisterakas,” “Beauty and the Bestie,” “The Super Parental Guardians,” “Gandarrapiddo! The Revenger Squad,” Fantastica,” and “The Mall, The Merrier,” Vice is grateful to be given the platform to inspire and make people happy.
“Masaya na isa ako sa mga instrumento para maging excited ulit ‘yung mga pamilya.
“Makakaasa kayo ka worth ‘yung paglabas n’yo ng bahay, pagpunta sa mall, at pagbili ng ticket.
“‘Yung pelikulang ginagawa ko lagi, sinisigurado lagi namin na mae-enjoy ng buong pamilya. Itong pelikula namin, makakaasa kayo na lalong pasasayahin ang pasko n’yo.”
Social media sensation Ivana is joining Vice this year. “Excited akong makasama si Ivana. Gustung-gusto ko s’ya. Malapit s’ya sa akin. Magaan s’ya sa akin. Kaya nung tinanong din nila ako agad, gusto kong makasama si Ivana. Hindi lang naman ito bago. Kahit nung nakaraang filmfest pa, gusto ko s’yang makasama.
“This is not a Vice Ganda movie. This is a Vice, Ivana, and Cathy movie.”
Ivana answered, “Very happy to be with the Queen. Actually, ako kasi, eversince, ako kasi birthday ko Christmas, so ‘yung naging bonding ng family ko is manood kay Ate Vice. Ngayon, kasama ko s’ya. Ang saya sa puso. Even ‘yung buong family ko, super happy sila. I really, really love Ate Vice. Sa kanya kami tawang-tawa. Nalilimutan namin problems before.”
