The vivo X200 is a photography-focused flagship smartphone boasting ZEISS optics, a cutting-edge 3nm Dimensity 9400 processor, and a large 5,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery.

I thoroughly tested its gaming performance, camera quality, battery life, and charging speed, while also evaluating its display and design. Here’s my full review of the vivo X200!

What’s inside the box?

The vivo X200 arrives in a sleek, slim box with a leather-like texture, adding a touch of luxury to the unboxing experience—common among high-end flagships.

Inside, you’ll find the following:

  • vivo X200 smartphone
  • FREE transparent phone case
  • SIM ejector tool
  • 90W fast charger
  • USB type-C cable
  • Quick Start Guide

It’s a well-rounded package, presented in a premium-looking box.

Design and Build

vivo X200 back design

vivo X200 camera island

The vivo X200 features a modern aesthetic with a flat, boxy design complemented by subtly rounded edges for comfort. It is available in a single color variant in the Philippines – Aurora Green.

A prominent circular camera island dominates the back panel, housing three cameras, several sensors, the ZEISS logo, and the T* lens coating marking. It emphasizes the phone’s photography-centric identity.

When gaming, the large camera island serves as a natural resting point for my fingers, providing a more stable and comfortable grip. While functional, its size may not appeal to everyone from an aesthetic perspective.

The rest of the back panel showcases a pearly matte sheen with a minimalist vivo logo at the bottom and a triple LED flash neatly integrated into the upper left corner.

The right side holds the volume and power buttons. At the bottom, you’ll find the SIM card tray, USB Type-C port, and main loudspeaker grille.

Despite weighing 202 grams and measuring just under 8mm in thickness, the phone feels compact, sturdy, and undeniably premium in hand.

Its front panel is protected by SCHOTT Xensation α against scratches while the entire device has two ingress protection ratings – IP68 and IP69. This means it is dust tight and water resistant allowing it to be used in harsh environments.

I still use the included FREE transparent phone case though to keep the phone in pristine condition.

Display and Audio

vivo X200 display

vivo X200 display NETFLIX

The vivo X200 sports a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, delivering a pixel density of 460 PPI. Graphics appear razor-sharp, and colors are vibrant, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming.

With a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, the display remains highly legible even under direct sunlight and excels at rendering HDR content on platforms like Netflix and YouTube.

The 120Hz refresh rate ensures fluid animations and smooth scrolling, while features like high-frequency PWM dimming and a smart night display mode prioritize eye comfort during prolonged use.

For audio, the device features stereo speakers that deliver good audio quality, with a noticeable hint of bass. While they can fill a small room with sound, earphones still provide a better listening experience for music.

Performance

vivo X200 Antutu Benchmark score

The vivo X200 is powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. It’s a 3nm chip with up to 3.63GHz octa-core CPU, Immortalis-G925 GPU, and 16GB of physical RAM.

This is more than enough for a buttery smooth overall performance with impressive power efficiency and stable thermal controls.

In my experience of using the phone, I did not experience lags even when running multiple apps or resource-intensive games. This processor is quickly becoming popular among different brands with its smooth performance.

vivo X200 Genshin Impact

vivo X200 Genshin Impact Graphics

Speaking of gaming, I tested its gaming performance with some of the most popular games in the Philippines including Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile, and PUBG Mobile. All three games ran at very high graphics quality and framerate settings.

I also played Genshin Impact which is one of the most resource-intensive mobile games. By default, its graphics setting is set to High which is already impressive for this game.

Here are some of its benchmark scores:

AnTuTu Benchmark v10.4.1 – 2,503,070 points
Geekbench 6 (single-core) – 877 points
Geekbench 6 (multi-core) – 4,240 points

These are impressive benchmark scores except for the single-core Geekbench test. Nevertheless, actual usage shows smooth performance in everyday tasks and gaming.

Camera Quality

vivo X200 camera app

The vivo X200 is equipped with a triple rear camera system composed of a 50 Megapixel main camera, 50 Megapixel ultra-wide camera, and 50 Megapixel telephoto camera.

It also comes with ZEISS Portrait effects, ZEISS Natural color science, ZEISS T* lens coating, OIS for both the main & telephoto cameras, and up to 100x of hybrid zoom.

This results in a versatile camera system that can produce great-looking pictures in almost any situation. Ultra-wide shots maintain the same level of detail and color accuracy as the main camera, and night portraits benefit from excellent dynamic range and noise reduction.

Navigating the camera app is intuitive, with five preset focal lengths or zoom levels that make framing subjects effortless and more intuitive than pinching to zoom. Even at 10x zoom (233mm focal length), images retain impressive sharpness and detail.

The phone also includes a range of creative shooting modes, such as:

  • Landscape Mode for long-exposure shots, perfect for capturing light trails or starry skies.
  • Portrait Mode with ZEISS bokeh effects for stunning depth-of-field results.
  • Portrait Video for cinematic video effects.
  • Street Mode, which can be quickly accessed by double-pressing the volume button when the screen is off, ensuring you never miss a candid moment.

On the front, the vivo X200 features a 32 Megapixel selfie camera that produces impressive results. Even in low-light conditions, selfies are sharp and exhibit accurate color reproduction.

The default beautification mode subtly enhances facial features but can be turned off for a more natural look. Additionally, ZEISS portrait effects are available for selfies, offering professional-grade bokeh, though edge detection is slightly superior on the rear cameras.

The front camera also supports 4K video recording, making it ideal for creating high-quality TikTok or Instagram content.

Apps, UI, and Software

The vivo X200 runs on Android 15 with the Funtouch 15 skin, offering a mildly customized interface that retains familiar Android design elements and intuitive navigation.

Apps are readily accessible through the Google Play Store, with an additional option via vivo’s V-Appstore pre-installed on the device. While some third-party apps come pre-loaded, they can be easily uninstalled to streamline your experience.

Funtouch 15 introduces several AI-powered features to enhance usability, including:

Connectivity & Security

The vivo X200 is a dual-SIM smartphone with 5G connectivity. It has e-SIM support and provides fast mobile internet speeds.

It also supports up to Wi-Fi 7 networks, NFC, Bluetooth version 5.4, and multi-band GPS including other satellite positioning systems. Just like most flagship smartphones, it relies on its USB type-C port for wired data transfers and audio output.

For security, it has an under-display fingerprint scanner that’s quite fast and reliable.

Battery Life & Charging Speed

vivo X200 charging

The vivo X200’s 5,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery delivers excellent endurance, lasting over a day of regular use with around 35% left by evening. Even during heavy gaming, it provides 8–9 hours of continuous play.

With the included 90W FlashCharge adapter, the phone recharges from 0% to 100% in just 55 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime.

This combination of long battery life and fast charging makes the vivo X200 ideal for power users and gamers alike.

Conclusion

vivo X200 recommendation

After spending time with the vivo X200, I can confidently recommend it as a well-rounded flagship smartphone. Its impressive camera system, vibrant display, sturdy build, long-lasting battery, useful AI features, and fast charging make it a strong contender in its category.

While the vivo X200 Pro offers upgrades like a slightly larger display, a bigger battery, wireless charging, and a headline-grabbing 200MP telephoto camera, the ₱12,000 price difference makes the X200 an excellent choice for those seeking flagship performance with a more affordable price tag.

For its price, the vivo X200 strikes a perfect balance between features and affordability, making it a compelling option for photography enthusiasts, gamers, and everyday users alike.

The vivo X200 is now available for ₱57,999 official price at vivo stores, authorized smartphone retailers, and official online channels like Shopee, Lazada, and the vivo e-store. If you’re in the market for a flagship smartphone, the vivo X200 deserves serious consideration.
