Give seniors what they deserve—3rd termer Parañaque councilor Jomari Yllana

In a short span, Parañaque City, first district, has flourished under Jomari Yllana’s effective leadership. In fact Jomari became one of the busiest public servants, continuing his projects for seniors.

Jomari loves helping senior citizens. Part of his works were prioritizing them with cash incentives every Christmas and special occasion.

The 45-year old actor-politician also has a special treat for them, giving them a special place where they can enjoy and relax. He said it’s the first leisure place for seniors in the country.

Yllana’s projects say a lot about his character—his being family man, family oriented. He values his own family and every family he serves in Parañaque’s 1st district.

“From the very start, I had been a hands-on public official. I run my own office. I don’t have a chief-of-staff, everything is coursed through me,” he shared.

The former Guwapings actor was first elected as councilor in 2016. When he assumed office on his first year as councilor, he was named minority floor leader. He was also the first independent candidate who won in the city of Parañaque.

Yllana, who attended all the courses offered at the University of the Philippines’ National College of Public Administration and Governance between 2016 and 2019, said, “Working for government has been a learning curve for me, reason why I purposely left showbiz so I could focus.”
