Singer Yohan Castro wants to promote OPM

After joining GMA’s reality singing competition Protégé, Yohan Castro earns the courage to pursue his love for music. “Singing talaga is my way of expressing myself,” he shares.

Yohan sings from his heart and soul. In one of Yohan’s singing engagements, his manager Dr. Arthur Cruzada discovers and falls in love with his voice.

“He really sings from his heart. Mararamdaman mo talaga. Naiyak nga ako nung kumanta s’ya. He is an excellent singer. He needs a break,” the manager tells.

With his charming, neat presence, Yohan makes sure he always sings Pinoy music. Erik Santos, Gino Padilla, Martin Nievera, and Ronnie Liang are some of the artists he loves.

“Iba talaga ang Pinoy music. As an artist, dapat Pinoy songs talaga ang kinakanta ko. Dapat proud tayo sa OPM. At talagang damang-dama ko kapag OPM ang kinakanta ko,” Yohan says.

This balladeer also endorses different brands like Queen Eva Salon, Marah Dalciano Hotel and Resort, and more. He uses platforms like TikTok and Facebook to promote brands he believes in.

What’s also inspiring about Yohan is his love for teaching children with special needs. It becomes his advocacy. He says teaching them is a fulfillment for him. Yohan wants to inspire them that dreams do come true.

“I wanna inspire them. Marami na rin akong pinagdaanan sa buhay. From joining Protégé to trying another opportunities in life. May mga pagbagsak. Pero nananatili pa rin akong nakatayo. I love singing and teaching. And I feel like this is the right time for me na maging active ulit sa showbiz sa tulong ng aking manager na si Dr. Arthur. I also wanna give credit kay late singer and manager Claire dela Fuente. To all dreamers, kayang-kaya natin ito,” he ends.
